Update From Ron Bowers’ wife Angie, following Ron’s accident last night:
“Ronald and I have been so blessed with a large family, extended family, wonderful ward family and amazing friends. Because of these blessings, it is not always easy to share newsworthy events in a more efficient way then through this medium.
I will start by saying that Ron is doing very well. He was driving home from work last night on his motorcycle and someone mistakenly turned right in front of him. He has a broken pelvis, broken leg and the other leg has a broken knee cap. Ron is a responsible rider and was wearing his helmet and plated jacket. Thankfully, he has no head trauma.

Many tender mercies have made this very traumatic event manageable..starting with an off duty EMT being first on the scene. This accident happened right in front of our children’s high school. I was going to pick up Isaac from his school play and arrived very surprised to see the immediate aftermath of the collision, prior to 911 being called. Dustin Sanders and Jeff Kirkman from our church family (ward) that happened on the scene helped get me and my car home. Brice and Angela Thueson gave me a ride to the hospital and continued to stay for support for several hours and Ron was able to receive a blessing, which brought great comfort to me.
This will be a long journey for his recovery, but he will recover. I am grateful for the love and support that we have received and will continue to receive because of this accident. We love you and are deeply grateful for you in our lives. Please keep Ron in your prayers.”
